A Geekosphere is where a geek shows off his "colors." It is the physical ambiance around the workstation monitor, including the pasted-up notes, inspirational quotes, family photos, software cheat templates, coffee cup(s), old cans of jolt, mouse pad, pencils, diskettes, more notes, and so forth. The term was first mentioned in an October 1996 Wired Magazine article.
